Indellient’s latest innovation allows for greater integration and better code for Jenkins and Chef users.
Oakville, ON – July 10, 2018 – Indellient Inc. – a software development and IT professional services firm that empowers businesses to meet and exceed their critical business and technology objectives – today has launched its first open source Jenkins plugin that will enable Jenkins and Chef users.
This plugin was designed by Indellient’s DevOps Specialist, Skyler Layne (featured in the demo below) after realizing our Chef and Jenkins clients could benefit from an improved experience within the build, promotion and management lifecycle of their Habitat packages. The plugin was designed with this in mind.
Scott Ford, Principal Strategic Solutions Architect at Chef, had this to say about the new plugin, “We have been working with Indellient on several joint accounts. The work they have done with Chef and Habitat is impressive. An example of this is the Jenkins Habitat plug-in that they have open sourced. This will provide an easy route for our customers to leverage Jenkins for building and promoting applications packaged with Habitat”.

It will also help:
- Manage the build and promotion lifecycle of a user’s Habitat application packages;
- Provide a standard way to centrally manage Habitat packages; and
- Operationalize packages across an organization.
The plugin will unify our existing infrastructure under one modern and scalable platform – bringing organizations one step closer to becoming a fast and efficient software-driven organization.
