A city-wide volunteering event this week sees Toronto’s tech workers spend a day volunteering at local non-profits

Oakville, ON – October 26, 2017 – Indellient Inc. – a leader in software development and IT professional services – has partnered with T.O Tech Gives Back – an organization aiming to support the work of non-profit organizations and charities across the city to unlock big change.

The goal of the event is to foster connections between Toronto’s tech and non-profit sectors. When presented with the opportunity, Indellient jumped at the chance to collaborate with members of Toronto’s flourishing tech community, and it also aligned with October’s Healthy Workplace Month initiative – a 30-day call to action for employers across Canada to increase awareness about mental and physical health for its employees.

On October 26, Indellient will join dozens of other tech firms in hand-crafting birthday cards for the Childhood Canada Cancer Foundation, along with various other initiatives taking place throughout the month such as in-house fitness and yoga classes, healthy breakfasts and daily stretch breaks.

“The healthy workplace month initiative is an opportunity for our team to embrace activities that promote our well-being. Like many professional occupations, most roles in our company involve desk activity which doesn’t always offer extended ability to focus on cardio health, flexibility, and other key physical conditioning elements; in October, it is our hope that simple team activities will catch as habits and lead to both healthier and thereby happier professionals in our team,” says Indellinet’s Managing Partner, Adam Caromicoli.

And what’s better for your mental health than knowing you’re bringing a smile to a child’s face with your outreach efforts?
